In the heartland of Argentinian Malbec, with the magnificent Andes as its backdrop, Bodega Sottano is located in one of the most unique wine regions in Mendoza. The vineyards are found in the best regions of Mendoza: Lujan de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, where the high altitudes (1000m), sandy soils, and a sun-drenched climate creates ideal conditions for growing premium grape varieties. Warm days and cold nights, make for well balanced, perfectly ripe grapes and gives the wines their distinctive character, intense flavours and balanced acidity.
The estate is now in the hands of three brothers: Diego, Pablo and Mauricio - great-grandchildren of the estate’s founder Fioravante Sottano, who emigrated here from Italy in 1890.
Whilst it is best known for its Malbec, the portfolio also includes an elegant Cabernet Sauvignon. Each of the wines reflects the estate’s meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality.
