The Story

CasalFarneto in Serra de’ Conti in the heart of Le Marche, was established in 1995. Their 35 hectares under vine, are predominantly planted to Verdicchio in the historic Castelli di Jesi zone. The vineyards benefit from a unique terroir characterized by limestone-rich soils and elevations around 350 meters, which, coupled with Adriatic breezes and significant diurnal temperature variations, contribute to the production of wines with notable freshness and aromatic complexity.

CasalFarneto's portfolio showcases a range of Verdicchio expressions, from the crisp and mineral-driven Fontevecchia to the more structured and age-worthy Crisio Riserva DOCG. The estate also produces red wines from varieties such as Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting the region's diverse viticultural heritage. The winery's approach to winemaking emphasises minimal intervention, aiming to express the pure character of each grape variety and its terroir. Fermentation and aging processes are carefully tailored, using stainless steel, large oak casks, and amphorae as appropriate to preserve varietal integrity and enhance complexity.
