Domaine Rémi Jeanniard, located in Morey-Saint-Denis within Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is a family-run estate established in 2004 when Rémi took over a portion of the family's vineyards after nearly two decades of working alongside his father. The domaine encompasses 6.5 hectares across the communes of Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Chambolle-Musigny, focusing primarily on Pinot Noir.
Rémi is committed to sustainable viticulture, employing practices such as mechanical weed control and abstaining from chemical fertilizers to maintain soil health. The vineyards are meticulously managed, with hand harvesting and careful sorting to ensure optimal grape quality. In the cellar, fermentation relies on natural yeasts, and the wines are aged in oak barrels with a restrained use of new oak to preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of terroir. Bottling is done without fining, and minimal sulfur dioxide is used, reflecting Rémi's philosophy of minimal intervention.
