The Story

Newton Johnson Vineyards are nestled in the breathtaking Hemel-en-Aarde Valley near the seaside town of Hermanus, an hour and a half’s drive out of Cape Town. One of the most beautiful vineyards I’ve ever stood in. Brothers Gordon and Bevan (a Jurgen Klopp doppelganger, and Liverpool fan to boot!) have over 30 vintages between them.

Known for producing some of the country’s finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, they combine family tradition with innovative winemaking techniques to craft wines of remarkable elegance and purity. Cool maritime breezes and ancient soils create the perfect environment for growing Burgundian varieties, allowing the wines to develop vibrant fruit character and a distinct sense of place.

Their Family Vineyards Pinot Noir is a true showstopper, with its seductive aromas of wild berries, earth, and spice, balanced by silky tannins and a lingering finish. Equally impressive is their Chardonnay, offering layers of citrus, minerality, and subtle oak, delivering a wine that is both fresh and complex.

A sought-after winery due to their relentless pursuit of perfection and Burgundian finesse.
