Weingut Prager, nestled in the heart of the Wachau Valley has a rich history dating back to 1302. The winery's vineyards, situated on steep, south-facing slopes along the Danube River, benefit from near-perfect viticultural conditions. The combination of warm days and cool nights allows the grapes to develop complex flavours and aromas.
Toni Bodenstein’s meticulous approach to winemaking is evident. He combines traditional techniques and with modern technology to produce wines that are both elegant and powerful. Toni believes natural yeasts are key to showing the subtle differences between vineyards. The wines are characterized by their purity, minerality, and vibrant acidity. Their Grüner Veltliners offer a refreshing and zesty palate, while the Riesling (from 24 different sites) showcases a delicate balance of fruit and floral notes.
